Hofstra in Korea
Summer
Description
This program offers an opportunity for students to study Introduction to International Business (IB 150) in a multicultural context. The course is taught in English by a full-time Hofstra University faculty member. Classes are held three days a week, and the rest of the week is available for travel and study. Participants in the program visit industrial sites and historical places, including factories, department stores and the Korean Stock Exchange. Students who wish to travel to neighboring countries, such as China and Japan, can benefit from this program since Korea is located between the two countries.
Eligibility
Sophomore class standing or above. Students who have taken IB 150 can take IB 161 (Asian Business) on a tutorial basis. See the Hofstra University Undergraduate Bulletin for course descriptions.
Cost
In addition to the cost of tuition, students should allow $1,000 for airfare and other travel expenses (subject to change). Housing is provided free of charge for those who choose the host family option.
Deadline
Interested individuals are urged to apply as soon as possible.
