School of Communication Study Abroad

SCO in Rome

SCO in Rome! is the School of Communication’s only ongoing study abroad program, now in its second year. Bringing together students and faculty from multiple Departments—Journalism, Media Studies and Public Relations, Radio/TV/Film, and Speech Communication, Rhetoric, and Performance Studies—students will experience international media, history, and culture like never before. The four-week program exposes students to one of the most vibrant cities in the world. Rome, the media center of Italy, has a rich heritage of communication in all forms to complement its breathtaking arts, culture, and “dolce vita.” Students stay in modern dormitory facilities in the Prati section near Vatican City and “centro storico” (historical center) with so many of Rome’s extensive and breathtaking attractions just minutes away.
