Description

The interdisciplinary program offered through New College is based in the picturesque town of Sorrento, Italy, located on the Amalfi Coast at the southern tip of the Bay of Naples. The program includes excursions to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, Rome, Naples, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, and the island of Capri. It will also include a wonderful sampling of Italian culture, cuisine and traditions. The Bay of Naples and nearby Mount Vesuvius provide fascinating geological and ecological adventures.

Eligibility

Undergraduate and graduate students from Hofstra and other American universities, as well as interested members of the general public, are all invited to apply.


Cost

The $2,500 program fee includes the flight to and from Naples with ground transportation to and from Sorrento, housing for the three-week program, as well as all field trips that are part of the program, plus an array of special events, including welcome and farewell parties, and the use of the facilities of Sorrentolingue, our host institution.
