Simona Doboli

Simona Doboli earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2001. Since then, she has been a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science at Hofstra University, where she is currently an associate professor. Her doctoral research was on computational neural models for context-dependent spatial processing in the rat's hippocampus. Her research has been on neural models for context-dependent sequence processing, neural models for idea generation and brainstorming, and model extraction from trained neural networks. From 2005 to 2007, she served as an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks.
