Julian Ku

Julian Ku

Julian Ku is a professor of law and associate dean for faculty development atHofstra University School of Law. Professor Ku earned a B.A. cum laude withdistinction in ethics, politics and economics from Yale University in 1994. He wasawarded the J.D. from Yale Law School in 1998. He then clerked for the HonorableJerry Smith, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Professor Ku served for ayear as an Olin Fellow and Lecturer in Law at the University of Virginia Law School.Prior to joining Hofstra’s faculty, Professor Ku was a litigation associate at Debevoise& Plimpton in the International Disputes Resolution Group.

Professor Ku joined the Hofstra faculty in 2002. He teaches international,constitutional, and corporate law subjects. During his six-year tenure, Professor Ku haspublished 11 law review articles and two book chapters. His main research interest isthe intersection of international and domestic law. He has recently published articleson the constitutional aspects of foreign relations in Yale Law Journal, Supreme CourtReview and Constitutional Commentary. He also is a co-founder of the internationallaw weblog Opinio Juris.
