Paperless Class Schedule The Summer and Fall 2008 Class Schedule is now available via the Semester Planning Guide. It can be accessed from the Hofstra homepage under "Featured Links" in the left bottom corner or by visiting www.hofstra.edu/semesterplanning New for Fall, 2008 - Sophomore Business Cluster Core Courses
The Frank G. Zarb School of Business is now offering Financial Accounting 101, Introduction to Management 101, and Marketing 101 as a cluster to undergraduates with 24 credits or more. All new non-commuting Freshman and Transfer students for Fall 2008 who have paid their admissions and housing deposits may submit housing and meal applications via the My.Hofstra.edu portal. Students login, click the Hofstra Online tab and select the Residential Programs Menu to complete these applications

Incomplete Grade Policy Change to begin with Fall, 2008 Semester Watch for notification to be sent to students and faculty prior to the fall semesters. Changes will apply to all undergraduate students regardless of initial date of entry and will only apply to coursework taken fall 2008 and later. Full text will also be reflected in the 2008-09 Undergraduate Bulletin. |

Tips and Tricks What is a quick way to determine a student's program of study using My.Hofstra.edu? Go to the "Student Menu," a submenu at the bottom of the "Faculty Services" menu. After selecting the semester and student ID, click the "Student Information" option. You will see the student's current class standing, degree program, major, department and other useful information. |

Buzz Words
What is a WILDCARD? A wildcard is a symbol that stands for one or more unspecified characters, used especially in searching information. A useful wildcard in Banner is the percent sign (%). For example, when searching for a person in a key block in Banner, type the % where the unspecified characters begin. For more information on how to use a wildcard in Banner, call the Help Desk at (516) 463-7777.
