WOS Training and Access

Facilities and Operations provides direct access to the WOS on a limited basis. If you would like to request direct access to the WOS, please contact the Facilities and Operations IS Manager. All new users of the WOS must be trained prior to accessing the WOS.

Training

All new users need to be trained on the WOS before their accounts will be activated. The training can be done by a previously trained user in their department, or it can be arranged through the Facilities and Operations IS Manager.

Important: Please note that there are strict rules for entering information into a WR. Continued violation of the rules may result in suspension or loss of access to the WOS.

Access

All requests for a new user account need to be made to the Facilities and Operations IS Manager. The request must include the user's network ID, department, #700, telephone number, and whether the account is a new or replacement account. If possible, the WOS account ID will be the same as the network ID. In addition, due to how network access is managed on the Hofstra network, the WOS password will NOT match the network password.
