The Networks and Telecommunications group is collectively chartered with the primary objective of providing a robust, reliable and well protected communications infrastructure that supports the requirements the University’s strategic plans and objective goals.

The Group is responsible for planning, implementation and administration of the University’s 3 logical and physical networks. This includes the University’s underground and in-building fiber, copper and coaxial cabling which support network, voice and television services. Translated into end user services the Group provides access to the Internet, local applications, local and long distance, voicemail and satellite television services.
