To become a credit certificate student, submit a completed the credit certificate application with the application fee. Upon acceptance to a certificate program, students will be contacted by an advisor regarding registering for classes. Some programs may have additional application requirements, see the application for details.
Official transcripts must be provided from all post-secondary schools you have previously attended. Contact the institutions directly to obtain these documents. Official transcripts are signed, sealed documents which must come directly from your educational institution to us. Most institutions charge a nominal fee for processing transcript requests.
The application fee for credit certificate programs is $35. Tuition and other fees for the credit certificate programs follow the Hofstra University undergraduate and graduate catalog and can be found here.
Certificate students are expected to satisfy the requirements for their program as published in the semester that they registered for their first certificate course.
Successful completion of the program requires grades of C- or better must be received for each course.
Certificate programs must be completed within a period of three academic years, or according to specific program requirements.
A Certificate is awarded upon the completion of a predetermined program of courses which have been satisfactorily passed. It must be requested in writing to the Hofstra CE Registration Office during the last week of the semester.
Hofstra University reserves the right to modify courses of study, course content and the availability of courses for all certificate programs. |
