Cross Country Camp 
Session 3: August 2 - 13Open to girls and boys entering grades 4 through 12
Hofstra Cross Country Camp under the direction of coach Peter Alfano is designed for boys and girls entering grades 4 through 12 who are interested in racing cross country. Coach Alfano and his division I coaching staff will provide a total learning experience as well as a training camp. The various activities are designed to engage and challenge the distance runner. Each athlete will be provided with a positive learning environment in which each camper, regardless of age or ability, can grow and learn as both an athlete and an individual. Runners will be assisted in their development both physically and mentally. The Hofstra University campus and the selected training areas provide an inspiring setting for learning and training.

Schedule:
Campers day will consist of a run at Bethpage State Park, assigned swim days, lunch and each day will vary with a Film / Guest Speaker / Performance Testing / Adventure Education activities.

Pete Alfano is in his sixth year on the Hofstra University Men's and Women's Cross Country coach staff and in his second year as head coach of both programs. Alfano, who served as Hofstra's interim head cross country coach from March through June 2008, had served as the Pride's assistant cross country coach since 2004.
