Learning Institute: REACH
The REACH program is an exciting opportunity for campers with autism spectrum disorders and other special needs to experience HOFSTRA SPECIALTY CAMPS with typically developing peers.
The REACH program provides a safe and positive setting for campers with disabilities to be included in all camp activities and enjoy peer interactions, with supports and/or modifications, when necessary. The REACH program provides a perfect setting for ongoing interventions during the summer break. Campers have ample opportunities to generalize and enhance social and daily living skills.
The REACH program is designed to meet the needs of campers pending a consultation with Julie Duenges -Director of Pupil Services. If you find this program might be of interest, please call the camp office to set up an appointment.
