The Fred Motley Band Camp is designed to provide young musicians a wonderful opportunity to experience a musical adventure in a college setting.  Camp is for aspiring musicians in grades 7 - 12 who desire to interact with other talented young people in an atmosphere of culture.

 

Mr. Motley is a Hofstra University graduate and has been associated with the university for 20 years. He has been a music educator for over 35 years at various levels. In addition, Mr. Motley instructs privately and conducts studio music rehearsals. For the past 12 years he has directed the successful Hofstra Pep Band. Additionally, Motley is the jazz band director at St. John's University. His varied experiences have made him a true leader in the music field in the New York Metropolitan area.

Campers attending Motley Band Camp will experience exciting music and have the ability to work hard, have fun and build friendships that will last a lifetime. It is our goal to assist each camper improve their individual skills. This is a great opportunity to spend valuable time becoming a better musician.

 

All campers are required to bring their own instrument to camp each day. Swimming will be scheduled.
