During these challenging economic times, as foundations must scale back the number of projects they fund, developing the skills to most effectively present your project is more important than ever. This course for the novice will cover the basics of writing a competitive proposail, focusing on how to effectively structure and communicate your ideas within the proposal's standard format, as well as how to interpret and follow guidelines when they are presented. We will also discuss techniques for helping you to put your ideas into words. Participants are encouraged to bring to class their project ideas and take the first steps in developing these ideas into a well-crafted proposal.
