Transform white silk into vibrantly colored paintings and fabrics for scarves, bags, clothing, kimonos and decorative objects for the home. A variety of techniques will be demonstrated. Learn to experiment with salt to create textural effects including unique tie die looks. Create faux marbling with luminous dyes and Chinese brushes using the gutta resist method of silk painting. Observe how fabric paints, markers and crayons embellish the traditional method.
