This course explores a variety of poetic forms the triolet, the tritina, the ghazal, the rondeau, among others. Participants gain a working knowledge of the fundamental techniques of writing both rhymed and free verse.
This workshop encourages personal discovery and the development of the individual poetic voice through the use of hands-on writing exercises, workshop presentations, readings of contemporary poetry, and constructive critical feedback from peers, as well as the instructor.
