The focus of this intensive course is for students to expand the skill set learned in Computer Animation 1 by completing their own unique animation. Using storyboards as their map, students are guided in how to vary their camera angles. The use of close-ups, long shots, medium shots and other techniques provides the opportunity to make creative movies while following a story line. Students are also asked to develop a "character" that they can move through each scene. The art of timing and its function in animated film are also highlighted, as well as the traditional animator's tools, explored and enhanced with the Macintosh computer.
