CHESS EDUCATION PROGARM FOR BEGINNERS: GRADES 1-8 Y8300
For centuries chess has been recognized as a game that stimulates the intellect and offers a unique educational experience. Moreover, research suggests that those who play chess gain cognitive skills, improve reading comprehension, learn to solve problems logically and improve spatial intelligence and self-esteem! This class is for players without knowledge or experience in the game of chess. It is a fun and inspiring introduction to the" royal game" for beginners. Students learn the fundamentals of the game including all rules and basic strategies. Each student receives individual attention for maximum development of skills. Students are grouped according to their knowledge of and experience with the game so that opponents challenge their abilities.
