Learn about wastewater treatment, why it is necessary, treatment processes and technology all while obtaining the necessary course work to sit for the NYSDEC operators examination. Classes are held Tuesday's and Thursday's 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the Cedar Creek wastewater treatment facility. Wastewater treatment remains a mystery to most, however is a major part of modern society, and is composed of both physical and biological processes that occur within a controlled environment operated by licensed professionals. Wastewater treatment is needed to prevent the spread of disease and provide clean waterways for recreational as well as commercial use.
