January Courses Summer Courses

Hofstra University students have many opportunities to earn credits while studying overseas. Many choose the summer and intersession programs which have been developed over the years in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.

This page provides a brief description of the programs currently offered in the College. Please understand that the fees listed at the end of each program are the estimates based on the information at the time of creating this site. Actual costs will depend on prevailing airfares, the exchange rate and other factors.

Students from other colleges and universities may be able to participate in Hofstra's programs. Students can determine eligibility by contacting the program director or the International Students Office.

Students in good standing are eligible to study abroad. Some programs require an average B or better and sophomore or junior standing. Others require some language proficiency or prior academic course work.

Hofstra University students will pay the program fee at the Student Accounts Office on campus. Other students will be billed for tuition and fees after acceptance. All students will be expected to submit a medical form to the program director, and to carry health insurance which protects them while out of the country.
