About Long Island
Of course there is more to Long Island than Hofstra University. If you like the outdoors we have lots to offer: beaches, two national parks and 20 state parks, zoos, hiking, horseback riding, fishing (freshwater and saltwater), camping, boating, biking, windmills, lighthouses, and even world class wineries.
Everywhere you turn there are museums, restaurants, nightclubs, performing arts, and of course shopping. And if that is not enough there is even a pretty decent city you might have heard of (New York?) about 45 minutes away by car or train.
