Application Directions
To assist you in completing your application, the directions below explain each step of the process. This information has been arranged to serve as a checklist that you can use to ensure that you have supplied all of the required information.
If you encounter any difficulties or are confused by any portion of the application process, please contact your Enrollment Advisor at 1-800-HOFSTRA.
Step 1: Complete the Hofstra University Online Application.
- Complete the online application at: https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=hofstragrd
- The $60 application fee can be paid by credit card (MasterCard and VISA accepted). Your application will not be reviewed or processed if you do not submit the non-refundable application fee.
Step 2: Submit Official Undergraduate Transcripts.
- You must send official transcripts from all colleges/universities that you have attended
- Transcripts must bear the original signature of the authorized official with the seal of each institution.
- Official transcripts must be sent to Hofstra Off-Site Admissions Center directly from the college or university
- Transcripts sent to a student and then forwarded to Hofstra Off-Site Admissions Center will not be accepted
- International Students are required to submit official transcript evaluations in addition to original transcripts
Step 3: Submit Written Interview Questions
- This interview can be found within this package
Step 4: Submit GRE scores
- GRE scores can be sent directly to the Hofstra University – GRE School Code: 2295
Step 5: Submit most current Resume
Step 6: International Applicants: Submit Official Scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
- International students are required to submit official TOEFL scores
- Students applying to the MSCS program must have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper) or 213 (computer)
- More information about these tests can be found at www.toefl.org
- International Students are required to submit a completed financial declaration form
- Must get all international transcripts evaluated by World Education Service (WES), www.wes.org
