$20,000 awarded annually to one or more fine arts majors in recognition of demonstrated ability as well as academic achievement and financial need. This award requires active participation in a program stipulated by the Fine Arts Department. The award is renewable upon the recommendation of the Department Chairman if the student also maintains a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 and continues to demonstrate financial need.
Requirements
Portfolio Requirements
A minimum of 10 works is required. Artworks should be selected from at least three of the following areas: painting, drawing, graphics, photography, design, new media, commercial art, sculpture, ceramics and crafts. Slides or CD of three-dimensional work are acceptable.
Judging of the Portfolio
Art faculty will review the portfolios. Portfolios will be judged on quality, originality, creativity, technical competence and presentation.
