at Cultural Center Theater

Leslie Gill is Associate Professor of Anthropology at American University in Washington, D.C. Her book, "The School of the Americas: Military Training and Political Violence in the Americas", was published by Duke University Press in 2004. The S.O.A., a U.S. military center, has trained more than 60,000 soldiers and police, most of them from Latin America. The participation of SOA graduates in torture, murder, and political repression in Latin America is so widely documented that it gained distinction as the "School of Assassins."
