ROTC Commissioning Ceremony

The Military Science Department held their Spring Commissioning Ceremony on May 19, 2011, at the Helene Fortunoff Theater at Monroe Lecture Center. Ten cadets took their oaths of appointment and became commissioned officers in the United States Army.

Six of these students were from Hofstra University:

2LT Paul Baumgartner, B.A. History
2LT Connie Campos, B.A. Mathematical Economics
2LT Nicole deBoer, B.A. Psychology
2LT Christopher Kalesavich, B.S. Physical Education
2LT Graham Miller, B.A. Political Science

Also participating were 2LT Andrew Dunbar (DMG) of C.W. Post, Long Island University; 2LT Amayaliz Grullon of Molloy College; 2LT Emily Hutton of SUNY Stony Brook; and 2LT Brian Osborne of Hunter College.

Hofstra University Army ROTC would like to congratulate these lieutenants and their families.

*DMG stands for Distinguished Military Graduate, a designation awarded to the top 20 percent of ROTC seniors in the nation.
