In Hofstra University's Department of Political Science, students examine the political forces that help shape modern society. Through coursework in government systems, political behavior, public policy, and political theory, our students deepen their understanding of the world and sharpen their critical thinking – valuable skills that have helped them pursue successful careers in many fields, including business, politics, law, education, media, and the arts, as well as advanced graduate study.
