Ryan Kane, M.A.

Ryan graduated from Westfield State College in Westfield, MA in 1997 with a double major in Psychology and Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law. He worked for two years as a mutual fund accountant in Boston prior to entering the I/O Psychology Master’s program at Hofstra in 2000. Some of Ryan’s research interests include competency modeling, rating accuracy, and rater training. He’s a huge Boston Red Sox fan and enjoys wiffle ball, and spending time with his niece and nephew.


Stefanie Kohn, M.A.

Stefanie received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University at Albany and her Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University. Additionally, she is certified in ROI methodology by the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD). Stefanie is currently employed at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. in New York City, where she is a Learning and Development Consultant. Her primary responsibilities include training evaluation and metrics, domestic training management and operations, and learning management systems. Prior to working for Turner, Stefanie was a human resources generalist at Arista Records, where she was responsible for recruitment, benefits, performance management, employee relations, and an internship program. Prior to Arista Records, she did her graduate internship in staffing and development at Grey Advertising, Inc. Stefanie's current research interests are the impact that training course descriptions have on training evaluation and effectiveness. When not working, going to class, and writing her dissertation, you can find Stefanie shopping, dining, and just hanging out in NYC or with her family and "old-school" friends on Long Island.


Jamie Lopez, M.A., MBA

Jamie Lopez is the Vice-President of Lopez and Associates, Inc. He has been employed at the firm for the last 6 years and has assumed lead roles on multiple selection oriented engagements. Outside of Lopez and Associates, Inc., Jamie has been employed or consulted with the financial services sector. He holds a MA degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from New York University's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and an MBA in Finance with a specialization in Trading and Portfolio Management from the Fordham Graduate School of Business. He received his B.A. in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross. James graduated from NYU as a Masters Scholar and a member of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society for Psychology. As a researcher at Hofstra University, he is currently investigating methods to reduce impression management in non-cognitive measures. In his spare time Jamie is a PADI Certified Rescue Scuba Diver, sporting clays enthusiast, upland game/waterfowl hunter, and one-design sailor. He is married to his wife, Katie, and resides in Darien, CT.
