B.A. Major in Psychology

The B.A. program provides students with a broad background in the methods, theories, and research findings of various fields within psychology – for example, physiological psychology, psychopathology, behavior modification, psychological testing, industrial-organizational psychology, cognition and memory, human development, and the history of psychology.

To declare the major, come to Hauser Hall room 115 at 11:30 any Wed during the semester. When you declare the psychology major, a faculty advisor will be assigned to you. If you have already declared the major but do not know who your faculty advisor is, please email Ms. Carmela Salvatore (Email). You can meet with your faculty advisor or the Assistant Chair for Advisement (Dr. Kristin Weingartner) to ask quick questions, go over forms and policies, or to plan schedules. To determine who to see about what (e.g., the assistant chair for advisement, your faculty advisor, your advisement dean), please read this “cheat sheet.”
