The M.A. Programs in Speech-Language Pathology are intended for students who plan to work in clinical, hospital, educational or private practice settings.
Our programs are accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); approved by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) for SLP and teacher certification; and by the NYSED Licensure Bureau for licensure as Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Our academic and clinical programs prepare graduate students to evaluate and treat communication disorders in individuals throughout the life span.

Our clinic is located in the Saltzman Community Services Center on the South campus. The Center houses clinics associated with Hofstra's graduate clinical programs. The Center also houses a licensed Day Care facility with children from 8 weeks to 5 years of age.
We are affiliated with sites throughout the metropolitan New York Area including acute and sub-acute care health facilities, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, special schools for communicatively disabled children, and private practices.
