WORKSHOP HOUSING

The organizing committee recommends two forms of housing for the CBSM Workshop taking place at Hofstra on Thursday, August 9th through Friday, August 10th:

• Book a room at the Long Island Marriott Hotel & Conference Center located at 101 James Doolittle Boulevard in Uniondale, New York. Toll-free: 1-800-832-6255. Given Marriott's refusal to offer our Section reasonable rates and terms, we are recommending that workshop participants book rooms on your own using services such as Expedia, Travelocity, and Hotels.com. A Hofstra shuttle bus will regularly take workshop participants between the hotel and the campus.
  
  
• Stay on campus. Hofstra University is offering single rooms at $34 per night (price includes linen drop). There are three rooms per suite sharing a common bathroom. Those taking this option should include payment for the full amount upon registering. Registration services will open in late April. Rooms will be available as early as Wednesday, August 8th. In an effort to make attending ASA more affordable for graduate students, Hofstra has also agreed to make rooms available for the evening of Friday, August 10th with check out on Saturday, August 11th.
