Applications

Reviews of applications will begin April 15, 2009. The deadline for receipt of completed applications is April 10, 2009. The following material must be included in the application form:

  • A statement from the student explaining why he/she wants to engage in a science research project;
  • A letter of recommendation and commitment from a science or math teacher;
  • Students will be asked to select, in order of preference, three research projects in which they would like to participate.

Review of applications will be performed by a committee consisting of each of the faculty members participating in the program. Selected students may be asked to meet with their prospective research mentor during the first two weeks of May. Final admissions decisions will be made by June 1.

Admissions decisions are made without regard to race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or disability.
