Writing skills are essential in virtually every field and profession that Hofstra students might enter upon graduation: law, business, science, or graduate study in any area in or outside the humanities.

Students will find that a minor in Writing Studies along with a major in almost any discipline will strengthen their prospects in the job market upon graduation and their performance in the workplace itself, where communications skills are valued more than ever.
