Undergraduate Programs and Courses

The Department of Writing Studies and Composition offers a range of courses beyond the required first-year sequence, including Advanced Expository Writing, Grammar, History of the English Language, the Rhetoric of Everyday Life, Writing in the Digital Age, and other special courses.

As the department develops its curriculum, students interested in writing will find minor and major programs with courses in a wide variety of areas, such as Professional and Business Communications, Technical and Science Writing and Academic Writing.
