Students at airport, leaving for Galápagos Islands
Welcome to the Web site of the Galápagos Islands and Ecuador January session, where we will follow the experiences of 14 students and 2 professors as they head south to explore one of the most geologically exciting and biologically diverse places on Earth — the Galápagos Islands and Ecuador.

For nearly three weeks — from January 4 to January 23, 2008 — the group will study biology, ecology and geology on the remote Galápagos Islands, the region that inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution, and on mainland Ecuador, where they will visit an Andean stratovolcano and travel deep into the Amazon rainforest.
