HUHC UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIPS
Internships are the primary way HUHC students link their academic success with the kind of practical experience that employers and even graduate schools want to see. Fully 75% of HUHC students undertake at least one internship (either paid or unpaid) before graduating. It’s not unusual for a student to have two, three, or even more. HUHC encourages students to pursue internship opportunities early in their college careers. Our proximity to New York City coupled with the diversity of commercial and governmental institutions on Long Island, have provided a generation of HUHC students with the chances they need to hone their skills and show off what they know.
Hofstra provides all of its students with extraordinary support in the pursuit of internship opportunities. Some departments run their own internship programs. Otherwise, the Career Development Center is the source for internship listings and help with resume writing and other application skills.
