Model Proposals

Below you will find links to several INHO proposals previously approved by the HUHC Council. We include them here in response to requests from faculty who thought that seeing successful proposals would help them in preparing their own.

By posting these proposals we are not suggesting that the honors option you prepare need match or be the same in structure or content to what others have done. The HUHC Council understands that each course and each INHO proposal is unique and must be considered on its own terms.

It is also important to keep in mind that the proposals listed below were prepared before we had constructed this website and the electronic proposal submission form. As a result the structure or format of these proposals will likely not match exactly the information we are asking you to provide.

Despite these differences, we are hopeful that you will find these examples of colleagues' work helpful as you talk with your students and put together proposals that match your courses and the goals you've set out for yourselves.

Finally, the courses listed below are meant to be illustrative rather than exhaustive. The proposals below were selected from among those that were submitted electronically or scanned recently. We have received many, many exemplary proposals. Over time our goal is to build this section of the website so that we include examples across the schools and the many departments. Therefore, this page is very much under ongoing construction.
