The Department of Radio, Television, Film offers a number of programs of study designed to prepare students for the challenges that await them in the fast-paced, volatile, ever-changing world of communication. We have designed programs that teach our students to think both critically and creatively, prepare them for professional careers in radio, television and film, as well as in new media and the applications of tomorrow. While aware of the possible variations in message content in film, audio and video, we fully expect that our graduates will significantly comprise the ranks of the next generation of communication producers, directors and managers.

Students in the School of Communication are partnering with not-for-profit organizations in the metropolitan area as part of a senior Media Production Capstone course titled Media Action Projects. Click here to learn more.

School of Communication Professional-in-Residence, Ed Ingles, has been awarded the John Holliman Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award from his alma mater, the University of Georgia Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

The RTVF Internship Program

The students of the Radio, Television and Film Department intern at over 30 locations in the tri-state region and beyond. This year's interns were at ABC, NBC, SiriusXM, FoxNews, CBS Sunday Morning, MSG Varsity, Mercury Radio Arts, and many more.
