The RTVF Internship Program
Welcome to the Radio, Television, Film Dept. Internship Program website.
Our department recognizes the importance of internships and offers junior and senior level students with a minimum 2.5 GPA the opportunity to take up to six credits in internship. We encourage students to experience the professional work place as they participate in our programs. We strive to provide our students with a comprehensive set of competencies which allows them to contribute to the world of mass mediated communication.
What are our students saying about their internship experiences?
"An RTVF internship has given me a passion for parts of the film industry I would have never imagined myself interested in."
--Jim Carter, class of 2012
"My internship provides me with real-world understanding of the professional industry in which I hope to pursue my career. One of the most beneficial aspects is being surrounded by creative professionals who gladly share their expertise with students who are eager to learn more. It makes me even more enthusiastic to join the professional world."
--Beth Laschever, class of 2012
"Working off campus is a great learning experience because you learn under new pressures with new people and new approaches. Hofstra's television courses wee the perfect foundation to bring my skills to real-world experience at the internships."
--Sarah Whittle, class of 2011
