Admission Requirements

Prospective students must complete and return an application. In addition, applicants should also submit a transcript of their undergraduate work, plus two faculty letters of recommendation to:

Applicants must arrange for an on-campus interview. In special circumstances, this interview may be conducted by telephone.

In order to be adequately prepared for graduate work, entering students should have taken at least 15 credit hours in the following undergraduate communication courses, earning at least a 3.0 grade point average:

  • Basic oral communication
  • Public speaking
  • Performance studies
  • Interpersonal communication
  • Rhetorical studies (beyond basic public speaking)
