Tune into WRHU, Radio Hofstra University on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 7-9 a.m. for a special edition of Hofstra’s Morning Wake-up Call. Members of the WRHU news team will provide in-depth coverage of the relief efforts following the earthquake in Haiti and will be speaking with Pete Libman, dean of students at Hofstra, to discuss the “Hofstra for Haiti” campaign.
The broadcast will include interviews with Kim Ives, editor of Haiti Liberte (a Haitian, Creole-language newspaper based in Brooklyn, NY), Mario Veoh who runs 90.5 FM, Signal Haiti (the only operating radio station in Haiti) and Hofstra alumna Carla Merilus, a Haitian-American who has been covering this story throughout and has family in the country.
