Winter Program ‘07 -- Doctoral Program & Dissertation Discussion
Dr. Amy Hsu and Dr. Bruce Torff
During this program, Dr. Bruce Torff, Associate Professor of Curriculum and Teaching at Hofstra University and the Director of Hofstra's new Doctoral Program in Learning and Teaching, presented an overview of the doctoral program and welcomed questions from the attendees. Dr. Amy Hsu, a former adjunct instructor in the Department Of Literacy Studies at Hofstra, shared aspects of her doctoral dissertation research which explored literacy and learning in alternative education and the impact of standardized testing on students.
