Admission Requirements

  1. A completed application form.
  2. An interview with program director.
  3. A written personal statement describing the candidate's goals in the field of community health.
  4. Two letters of reference that address the candidate's potential to succeed in graduate studies and the field of community health.
  5. Transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended with a minimum 2.75 GPA.
    1. At least 9 semester hours of coursework in health content areas successfully completed as part of an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
    2. Upon the recommendation of the program director, students with a GPA lower than 2.75 may be admitted by meeting one or more of the following criteria:
      1. Complete 12 probationary graduate credits maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA.
      2. Submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores.

Students may transfer up to 9 credits of equivalent graduate courses from an approved institution taken within the last five years and completed with a grade of B or better (with the approval of the student's faculty adviser only).
