Certificates of Advanced Study Doctoral Dissertation Student Perspective
These graduate programs and courses are offered by the Long Island, New York campus of Hofstra University.
The Educational Leadership and Policy Studies M.S. Ed. program provides an interdisciplinary exploration of important foundational and policy issues in education and basic introduction to educational leadership, with an option for a concentration focused on K-12 or higher education settings.
(NOTE: While this program does not lead to a New York State certification, we do offer two Certificates of Advanced Study that do.)

The M.S.Ed. program's concentration in K-12 is designed for people who are interested in an interdisciplinary exploration of important foundational and policy issues in education and basic introduction to educational leadership across multiple settings. This program in particular meets the needs of educators in non-public school settings such as museums, corporate divisions, nursery schools, etc.
The M.S.Ed. program's concentration in Higher Education is designed for people who are in the early stages of higher education careers and are seeking a better understanding of how the enterprise of higher education is structured, governed, financed and managed. Although there is no typical M.S.Ed. student, most fit into one of three groups:
