Distance Learning Lab – 054 Hagedorn Hall
This room houses three super-deluxe plasma screens. Students have used this room to “attend” an entire class without actually being in the classroom. This room is used to coordinate four or five sites to assist in standardizing ratings and training individuals. The Distance Learning Lab is complemented by the Computer Lab in room 063 Hagedorn Hall.
STEM Studio – Hagedorn Hall
The Hofstra University STEM Studio brings teachers and students together, on the campus of Hofstra University, to participate in a teaching and learning laboratory focused on a problem-based approach to teaching and curricula, which addresses New York State Common Core Learning Standards. The studio provides math, science and engineering design challenges that integrate literacy, social studies, multiculturalism, and the arts. The lab also offers master teacher mentoring and professional development.
State of the art Classrooms – Hagedorn Hall
Many rooms in Hagedorn Hall are equipped with Smart Boards. These tools allow our teachers to use the board to create an interactive whiteboard to highlight key points, access the web, and write notes for class.
