Regent’s Preparatory Classes

Students attend classes to improve scores on Regents examinations, to earn a high school diploma or credits for a Regents or Advanced Regents Diploma.  The following Regents classes are offered:

Mathematics

• Algebra II and Trigonometry
• Pre-Calculus and Calculus

Science

• Earth Science
• Biology/Living Environment
• Chemistry
• Physics

Social Studies

• Global Studies I and II

English

• Creative Writing/Reading Comprehension

Tutoring and Mentoring

Hofstra University college students provide tutorial services in subjects including math and science. They are also student mentors, exposing middle and high school students to college life.

Academic and Career Counseling

Counseling services are offered through Hofstra University program personnel, to discuss how best to approach classroom assignments, tests, grades or career options. Individual and group counseling are offered.
