Robotics Competition

Teamwork is one of the primary foci of the robotics class. Students are divided into groups and collaborate to build a robot. Navigating one of several competitive obstacles courses, points are earned by each team, leading to first, second and third placement.

Academic Bowl Competition

In a creative, fun way to review Regents questions from various disciplines, students’ are paired into groups to solve problems in a competitive jeopardy-like game. Questions are pulled from lessons taught throughout the year, and classroom instructors facilitate the games. Students are also provided an opportunity to hone public speaking skills during competitions.
