The new Center for Scholarship, Development and Outreach is part of a university effort to enhance the collaboration of SOEHHS faculty and to promote scholarship and outreach to schools and communities. This Center was designed to capitalize on the richness of expertise that already exists within the SOEHHS and will serve as a central hub for innovative thinking, scholarly research, and service. It will promote a collaborative and interdisciplinary model for research, investigation and development and become a self-sustaining entity.
The organizational structure will support projects, partnerships and grants related to schools, health and human services and address four central themes:
The Center will provide consultation to support faculty research including developing new concepts, designing workable projects for funding, identifying potential funding sources and conceptualizing and writing successful proposals.
As part of the Center’s networking capabilities we will also connect you with key individuals at the federal, state, and local levels in an effort to provide you with essential data, current research information, information on national and local trends and potential funding resources.
