The Hagedorn Teacher Fellowship Program
Undergraduate Terms

- Students may apply to be Hagedorn Fellows upon acceptance to Hofstra University, as long as they commit to enrolling in the School of Education, Health and Human Services upon receiving junior status, or upon their acceptance to the School of Education, Health and Human Services in their junior year. In order to be accepted to the school, students must have a 2.75 GPA.
- Undergraduate students will receive up to $5,000 in loans per year for four years. The Hagedorn Fellows loan may be applied to tuition only.
- After graduation, students will receive the equivalent of one year of loan forgiveness for each year of service in an approved high-needs school district.
- If a student withdraws from the School of Education, Health and Human Services or decides not to teach in a high-needs school district, interest is applied to the loan and payments begin upon graduation or withdrawal from Hofstra University.
