Who Can Apply?

  • Hofstra University undergraduate mathematics student who are juniors or seniors
  • Transfer students who are accepted as Hofstra University juniors or seniors in the mathematics program during the Fall semester
  • Accepted or currently enrolled in the secondary mathematics education program at Hofstra University
  • A student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better
  • Students from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply
  • United States Citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must agree to teach middle or high school mathematics for at least two years in a high needs school for each year that you receive a scholarship. The high need designation applies to many districts throughout the United States – large, small, urban, and rural.
