Why did you choose Hofstra?

I'm from a small town and I really wanted to be near the big city and I knew Hofstra University had a lot of opportunities in New York City.

Were you always interested in accounting?

When I was in high school I was never really interested in accounting but when I came to Hofstra I saw the amazing opportunities they had in the business school and I decided to switch into the accounting program.

What are your favorite things about Hofstra?

What I enjoy most about Hofstra is all of the activities and clubs on campus. I am a member of the Accounting Honors Society and I am also a member of a social sorority.

How have your professors encouraged you?

The professors at Hofstra University always encourage us to follow our dreams and that's why I think the students here are so successful.

How has Hofstra prepared your for your professional career?

The Zarb School of Business opened me up to many opportunities with different accounting firms in New York City and I was lucky enough to receive an offer with one of the top accounting firms in the country for when I graduate.

What is your edge?

My edge is I'm graduating and I already know where I'm going.

What advice would you give prospective students?

Hofstra is not just about career goals, it's about experiences. I've met people here that I'll be friends with for the rest of my life.
