Investment Stategist Invesco
Diane is the Investment Strategist for Invesco, a global asset management firm with just over $500 billion under management as of December 31, 2007. In her role as strategist, she directs the firm’s Global Investment Solutions and Research Team. Garnick has over ten years of investment experience and is a world-renowned plan sponsor advocate. She has focused her entire career on the plan sponsor, foundation, endowment, and family office communities identifying investment strategies designed to improve the ability of funds to meet their obligations to beneficiaries.
Garnick earned her title as The Princess of Pensions by working closely with chief executive officers, chief investment officers, and trustees to ensure they understand the implications of their investment decisions prior to implementing them. In this role she can often be seen authoring ‘how to’ educational reports and giving seminars on investment topics. Garnick’s approach has been described as ‘translating math into English’ as she is best known for bringing complex investment theories into the reach of many decision makers. Her tireless efforts have helped improve the risk-return profile of countless plans.
Prior to joining Invesco Garnick was a global derivatives strategist at Merrill Lynch where she and her team were named to the Institutional Investor All Star Team. Garnick has published hundreds of reports that focus on portfolio construction, volatility, corporate actions, equity indices, exchange traded funds (“ETFs”), futures, options, accounting and taxation.
Garnick is one of the growing number of Wall Street executives who have transitioned from being world class financiers to world class philanthropists. Diane is the founder of the Ladies in Red, a charitable organization focused on charities geared towards solving issues faced by underprivileged children and women throughout the world.
